All their life, you have been looking forward to this joyous time, waiting to capture all the memories that they would have their senior year. Then BAM, out of nowhere, Covid-19 comes along and alters that vision. While it is totally understandable to be sad, frustrated and a little (or a lot) angry, we want to remind you of a few things.
In this very uncertain and unnerving time, we NEED
- to be POSITIVE
- to still CELEBRATE our seniors
- to still capture those MEMORIES, just in a different way
- to still give them as big of an experience as we can
- to ENCOURAGE them to always look for the GOOD in any situation
How are we supposed to move forward with our graduation party when everything is on pause?
Should we postpone it? Should we cancel?
It's easy to go in a downward spiral of anxiety not knowing what direction to head in.
All that worry is over ...
because we are happy to help guide you with options! YES! You heard that right, OPTIONS!
While most invitations read like this ...

~ take it a step further and include another small pre-stamped, pre-addressed envelope inside your announcement with a card for your guests to fill out and mail back to your senior. It may read "share your favorite memory with the graduate" or give prompts with questions to fill in with advice. Always remember, the EASIEST you can make it for your guests, the better engagement you will have!
How about a Drive By Graduation Parade?!
Or, maybe you still want to see your closest friends and family in person (while practicing social distancing of course).
Wording for your announcement may look like this ...

~ take it a step further and create "grab-bags" for your guests - including a little thank you card, snack or favor. One cute idea we found was a little bag of popcorn that said "Thanks for poppin' by to celebrate" with the graduates name and Class of 2020 on it. We can always add "Drive by to show your love and support! Delicious treats will be provided"! This option still allows you to decorate your space/yard with signs, banners, balloons and high school memorabilia! Have you seen where they hang the Letterman jacket or cap and gown on the front door? LOVE IT!
How about a virtual graduation party?!
Maybe you are more into celebrating online!

~ take it a step further and ask guests to send you candid pictures of them with the graduate over the years and create a video for your graduate as a gift with all those wonderful memories including their favorite people!
How about just keeping it simple?!
Of course, there is always the option to send out simple announcements and add your favorite quote or bible verse.

"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go ..."
- Dr. Seuss, Oh the Places You'll Go!
Whatever you decide, we encourage you to make the best of the situation ... see the POSSIBILITIES rather than the challenges. Remember that as hard as it is to swallow this milestone looking so differently through your eyes as a parent, your child is not only experiencing similar feelings, but looking to you for guidance on how to react. Always lead by example. YOU GOT THIS! This will make you stronger.
